Respect My Grind Vol. 2 Concert

In August of 2009 FTDUBBB aka FTW brought together some of Cincinnati's hottest artists for Respect My Grind Vol. 1.

This time around, FTDUBBB set their heights a tad bit higher. Enlisting artists from Atlanta, Ga, Nashville, TN, San Diego, CA, Youngstown, OH as well as some of the Hottest Artists in Cincinnati. Respect My Grind Vol. 2

Opening act, from Cincinnati, R&B Songtress "NIA C" broke the ice, rockin the crowd and introducing them to "Respect My Grind Vol. 2"

Headlining First was Ca$hville's own "FINESS DA BOSS"!!! Courtesy of Wandering Star Mgmt, they brought the whole IH$ Crew, The Legendary DJ Whitey and The Mighty 40Pro. Finess blazed the stage with Hit "I HUSTLE" and flooded the venue with promo!! Many networking opportunies were available as producers from Armored Sound Productions and representatives of 40 Pro were in attendance. Hats off to FINESS DA BOSS and the IH$ Gang!

Up next, RAN... Replay Ran... The Natural!! Cincinnati's Own brought a refreshing sound and performance accompanied by Short Rocc. Beamer Benz or Bentley Remix - "How We Do It In Cincy" is creating a nice buzz... RAN is still one of Cincinnati's premier producers and has been accused of producing the best sound quality in his Quiet Noise Productions Studio.

FTDUBBB took the stage and gave fans the highly requested "LET IT ROLL"!!! FEVA released a sneak of new Banger "I'M So Money" and then performed "The World is a Ghetto" featuring CINSTAR and Jayce Miguel, which is yet another smash from the upcoming album "The Exorcist." Bishop, Gemini and Feva came together like Voltron as usual and lit up the stage!!

CINSTAR & J DOUGH from Atlanta, Ga brought a soulful conscience vibe to the stage and venue. Impressing the crowd with hits from recently released mixtape "DA OVERDOSE," such as "Me, Myself & Irene" and "Animal," CINSTAR & J DOUGH left a mark on all that witnessed this performance!!

After the show, FTDUBBB took CINSTAR & J DOUGH and FINESS DA BOSS over to 88.3 WAIF FM to the Underground B Boys Show hosted by Skandal. Bishop gave an interview and introduced the entire cast of "RESPECT MY GRIND" and 88.3 made sure to get drops from all of these phenomenal artists!!

1st 48: CINCINNATI MIXTAPE Mixed & Hosted By DJ LOGIKAL

The 1st Official Mixtape from Cincinnati Rap/Hip Hop Group, F.T.W. (bka FTDUBBB), The "1st 48: CINCINNATI" Mixed & Hosted by DJ Logikal is set to be released April 1st, 2010...

The highly anticipated mixtape is deemed properly titled being that FTDUBBB "murders" several popular industry tracks. This project also showcases the versatility & range of the group as the tracks "murdered," vary from "F.L.Y.'s 'Swag Surfin'" to "Rhianna's 'Russian Roulette'" to "Wale's 'World Tour'" to a few original songs as well. Fans recognize, love and respect FTDUBBB for the content of their lyrics, which is rather refreshing in a time when Hip Hop is lacking substance.

FEVA, already on the brink of discovery, shines throughout the mixtape with a combination of content, delivery and style that the music game hasn't seen in quite some time. BISHOP's rockstar/trapstar lifestyle follows him to the mic. GEMINI, who's street moniker is "Gooney," exemplifies just that, sneaking onto tracks and undoubtedly leaving his mark.

FTDUBBB's engineer and established recording artist "RAN" appears several times throughout the mixtape as well. Some of Ohio's Finest come together on this project which only promise more great works to come.

Thanks to DJ Logikal, FTDUBBB's "1st 48: CINCINNATI" will be featured on www.itsdjlogikal.com as well as available for download & review on over 30 mixtape websites, blogs and forums. The websites include, but are not limited too, www.DatPiff.com, www.LOUD.com, www.IWantMixtapez.com, www.CinCitiHipHop.com & www.ThatCrack.com just to name a few.

You can download the mixtape RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vault

The first collective FTW album, "The Vault" was released on 4/1/2009. It features smash, street banger "Block Boy Veteran," Cincinnati Anthem "Nati or Nothin" and album sleepers "Reg Smokaz" & "The Streets" The majority of the album was produced by SuperProducer Jey 9.

The album came together over the course of a few months as FEVA was helpin Bishop come into his own. FEVA, continuing to fine tune his sound and create his brand
grew as a member of a group and as a solo artist. Midway through recording the album, Gemini, a friend of Feva's family, took notice to the FTW movement as it was establishing itself. At the time, Bishop had put to use his many connections and arranged several performances at various venues around Cincinnati. Gemini became an instant supporter and surprised Bishop & Feva with his freestyle ability one day before a show. Recognizing the loyalty and the talent in front of them, Gemini was invited to join FTW. Graciously accepting and immediately contributing, Gemini can be heard on the opening track "Do Yo Thang" & "The Greatest."

Cinstar, Honorary FTDUBBB Member, Extraordinary Musician and Bishop's friend from youth is scattered throughout the album as well. Cinstar also produced the fan-favorite "Reg Smokaz." Cinstar graces "THE VAULT" on "Do Yo Thang," "ClockWork," "Reg Smokaz" and sings background on "Good Day, Good Life."

"THE VAULT," an extremely complete album with entirely original material, was received by the masses with open arms and extremely pleased ears. Adversely, with FTDUBBB being independent only so much promotion can be obtained. Slow at times, always progressing, FTDUBBB is becoming synonymous with greatness in and outside of Ohio.

"THE VAULT" is still available on Amazon/MP3 and in the streets...

Rap Game (Orig. Post Date 9/29/08)

Rap Game
Current mood: disappointed
Category: Music
So, I feel like talkin about the state of the music industry right now. If u have somethin to say, feel free to comment. Alot has disturbed me for a long time now. Off da top, I'm more than a Pac Fan... I understood that he talked about life and even issues that don't make it to TV. Real Shit. He never once made a song about a dance. I thought dancing was supposed to be an expression of self... Just like every other art form. Anyway, I felt Ice-T when he went off on Souljia Boy. All I can say is that the lil nigga is gettin paid. I think he even knows that his music is Bullshit. I like dat Marco Polo beat doe. Matter of fact, all his beats are slick. Just stop rappin. I can't see how anybody can even make music about ballin when the stock market is falling apart and there's little to no work in da streets. You're lyin. Tell me how u spend a whole day checkin traps and still only come up wit a smoke sack and I can relate to dat more than anything else. Tell me how gas ain't worth da trip....

Talkin money is so played out for a few reasons. 1. Everybody has it. 2. You probably don't have what u claimin. 3. If you do have it, you didn't get it the way u say u did.

A mufucka will lie to you in da street over nothin, so why wouldn't somebody do it over music to make some money? My point is that music used to be something to listen too. Now da beats and catchy hooks are what sells. Why? Because the mufuckas buyin da shit, really haven't seen the shit on there and just idolize the lifestyle. Little do they know, the artist and themselves are in the same boat.

I've beat the Rick Ross(William Roberts) thing to death, but that just goes to show you. Dis nigga really carried himself like a drug dealer or even a thug type dude when he was really an officer of the law. Snitchin if u ask me. I mean, how many people in the industry, do U think, came at him on some OTHA type shit? Just because of how greasy he was talkin. This shit is crazy. If my nigga wasn't off in da islands somewhere, Pac would be rippin these niggas apart. I like him, but Jay Z wouldn't be Jay Z right now...

Real niggas please stand up and if you love us, then support us. If not fuck you too....

I honestly didn't believe it the first time I heard "Block Boy Veteran" on the radio...I thought my music page had frozen up or something... Anyway, much to my delight, as soon as the song was over, DJ BOZ yelled "THAT SHIT IS HOTTTT!!! And they in OHIO doin dat!!!" I still got the same feeling the second time I heard it and then when he played "Come Home Wit Me," lol and then Da Bishop's NEW JOINT "EVERYBODY ELSE ft T-PAIN"!!!! We workin out here but need ur support as well....

Artists & DJs, Cmon... (Orig. Post Date 11/25/08)

Music Artists and DJs.... Cmon...
Current mood: knighted
Category: Music
Ok, I was gettin tired of hearin dis shit, but now I'm fed up.... This shit is so wack it comes back to what type of person YOU really are...

"Fuck dis DJ cuz he won't play my shit" "Fuck Dat artist, he ain't even known yet."

Here in my city, we all deal wit hatin as people in the music industry because everybody wants to be the first to blow... All it means is braggin rights. If ur first in, you'll probably be first out too. We've beat the come-together-as-a-city thing to death and nobody is willin to start it. What really irritates me though, is that some artists and managers don't understand why some DJs won't play they shit. There's a few reasons.

1. Yo shit is WACK!

2. It's not a hit... (We'll discuss what constitutes a hit lata)

3. It's not presently correctly.

4. That DJ may play to a certain crowd that your music doesn't appeal too.

Now, Ima vent...

To some of these music artists, you need to examine your craft and product before you decide to share it with the world. If you have any doubt, so will we. I, personally, hate bubblegum rap and most songs about dances. What's bubblegum rap? If the majority of your song is about a cartoon character or money(that u don't have) or lavish lifestyles(that ur not living), that's bubblegum. You blew it up only to spit it out... I still fuck wit "The Down The Way" by Tocka cuz it was original and shouted every hood in da Nati. Then everybody tried to bandwagon and it lost it's effect. I go to da clubs in da Nati and I don't dance all over da place or look at myself in the mirror so Im not gonna be into a song like dat... Matter of fact, most of the people that make songs about dances, don't dance themselves either... Hmmm....

DJ's.... I know it's a grind, but when u got real talent starin u in the face and u refuse to play the music or lie and say you will, u lose integrity. Today, that's more important than the $$ you might, or might not, make one day. Plus, if you from da city, then u already know how hard it is to get played here and u don't wanna give back? We listen to you spin all that industry bullshit and help get yall paid at the end of the night by comin to da clubs, but yall can't help us? Radio DJ's can't play anything besides what their programmer receives approval from the owner of the station. No need in even being upset with them. They're puppets when they're on air... In da streets may be different...

Now, saying all this would be pointless if I didn't have a solution. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... If you fuck wit us, we fuck wit u. If u don't fuck wit us, get steamrolled cuz we takin da city wit us. We ain't no hatin ass niggas, no fake thugs. Just real niggas with great music and a decent message. FTW is a movement, not a group.

Secondly, if u need Radio Air Play, not just locally but, worldwide ask me... I CAN REALLY GET IT. Im not here to make money off anybody, I'm here to help my city BLOW!!!

What constitutes a hit? Ha, right now it's kinda hard to say with all the mainstream garbage.... A hit is something well put together, thought out, for the people and by the people and makes heads nod, no matter what... If u aint got dat, u ain't gotta hit....

A few shout outs to my niggas(artists and Djs) so we don't get it twisted.(If I don't mention u, it's not because I don't fuck wit you, it's cuz u don't fuck wit us....) FTW off Top, Fo Feva, Cinstar, Jey-9, Patch1, Ran, DJ Boz(WrldWide Radio), Dj Dee(For keepin it 100), DJ Nastee(Gators DJ), DoeBoy(Grind Capitol), Tedo(All Flame), Kenny P(A1), Frank Talley, Tezz, and a few others....

99+1
